We welcome Jan Kochmann as new Associate Partner of CEVEYGROUP

Jan, welcome to CEVEYGROUP as an Associate Partner. Nice of you to answer some questions about yourself today.

You know our product portfolio in leadership, sales productivity and change management. What are your specialties that you bring to the table as an associate partner here?

My strength lies in my impartiality in approaching people and establishing a good rapport. Managers have a responsibility and are therefore often under pressure. That’s where it helps to look closely and be open – in services, where it’s all about the customer, as well as in industry and healthcare management. Thus, 20 years of self-employment have resulted in quite a few intercultural impressions. Together with my colleagues from the CEVEYGROUP and the different experiences, I am excited to give the upcoming projects a completely different power.

Which 3 trends do you think our customers should focus on at the moment?

Here, 3 things drive me:
1. are people able to act according to their imagination in change and transformation processes, i.e. do they remain flexible or do companies as static entities only react sluggishly to new requirements?
2. are employees therefore prepared to take the necessary personal responsibility or are decision-making ability, courage and flexibility just buzzwords?
3. how can people be supported in learning to live change for the sake of financial business success and simultaneous free-spirited togetherness?

What 3 specific tips can you give them in this regard?

1. the inner drive for freedom and self-determination, which has intensified in recent years, requires cultural and procedural guard rails within the company that must be implemented. Three sentences on the homepage are not enough.
2. the understanding of the common culture or, for example, the understanding of the brand must not remain empty buzzwords. So it is important to involve every employee step by step as a culture driver in the company, then cultural change will also be shaped in a lively and sustainable way.
3. self-determined learning is difficult for some people. Not everyone knows what they need themselves and can then still judge it in the context of the company whether it is needed. I see it as an opportunity to help companies make more intensive use of human capital.

About Jan Kochmann:

Communication between people and the design of efficient processes must be developed in equal measure. This includes strengthening the perception of the counterpart and raising awareness of one’s own expression, both in interpersonal and organizational communication. In my actions I combine empathy and ambition, humor and warmth.

Thank you, Jan, for the insightful interview!
